Connect Claude in Microsoft 365 with Zeldoc.ai

Use the Claude add-in in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook through Zeldoc.ai. All you need is a ZConnect key from your organization's Zeldoc.ai admin.

Get started

The steps use PowerPoint. Word, Excel and Outlook work the same way.

  1. Select the ··· button at the right end of the ribbon, then Add-ins.

  2. Search for Claude and install Claude for Microsoft 365.

  3. When the Claude pane opens, pick Cloud provider or gateway, then Gateway.

  4. Enter the connection details:

    FieldValue
    Gateway URLhttps://api.zeldoc.ai
    API tokenYour ZConnect key
  5. Select Connect. You're in.

Next time, open the ··· menu and select Claude to bring the pane back.

No /v1 in the gateway URL

Use https://api.zeldoc.ai, not https://api.zeldoc.ai/v1. The add-in adds the path itself.

Good to know

  • The key is stored locally in the Office application on your machine, not sent to Anthropic. Repeat the steps in Word, Excel and Outlook if you use Claude there too.
  • Got a new key? Open Settings in the Claude pane, paste it, and select Test Connection.
  • The models you can pick are the ZConnect models your key allows. Anything else is hidden by design.
  • Older versions of the add-in call the gateway option Enterprise gateway.

Troubleshooting

  • Claude isn't in the Add-ins search. Your organization may have turned off the Office Store. Ask your IT admin to deploy the add-in from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center using Anthropic's guide. The add-in needs Microsoft 365 on the web, Windows or Mac; Office 2019 and the iPad and Android apps are not supported.
  • The connection test fails. Check the URL has no trailing /v1 and that you pasted the whole key including the sk- prefix. If it still fails, ask IT to allow pivot.claude.ai and appsforoffice.microsoft.com alongside api.zeldoc.ai.
  • You don't have a key. Ask your Zeldoc.ai admin. Admins: see ZConnect keys.
